As it’s planning season, MTN is also gearing up for the new year.

Facing challenges in the first half of the year, MTN reported a significant loss due to FX volatility. With hopes of a better year ahead, the telco is making changes in its leadership.

Recently, MTN announced the departure of its CEO of Bayobab, Frédéric Schepens, along with other executives.

After more than seven years at MTN, Schepens will be succeeded by Mazen Mroue, who will take on additional responsibilities overseeing the infrastructure business. Mroue will lead various divisions within the company, including fiber, mobility, and data centers.

MTN has also revealed significant leadership changes in its subsidiaries in Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire. Wanda Matandela will transition to the role of CEO of MTN Cameroon, while Mitwa Ng’ambi will take over as CEO of MTN Côte d’Ivoire.
