In a bid to bolster the growth of small businesses, a significant initiative led by a prominent figure has provided financial aid to 1,000 women petty traders in all the Local Government Areas of Rivers State. The grants, amounting to N50,000 each, were distributed to the beneficiaries during a ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of Government House in Port Harcourt.

The initiative, known as the Renewed Hope Initiative, is spearheaded by a notable individual who serves as its National Chairman. The program, titled RHI’s Economic Empowerment Programme Recapitalization Grants for 1,000 Women Petty Traders in Rivers State, aims to stimulate economic development and improve the livelihoods of petty traders in the state.

During the event, a representative highlighted that the grants are intended to help women petty traders address business challenges, expand their ventures, create job opportunities, and make more significant contributions to the state’s economy. The initiative plans to disburse a total of N1.850 billion to 37,000 women petty traders nationwide, emphasizing economic empowerment as a primary goal.
