11 dead, 14 missing in Northeast China floods

The downpour led to severe damage in Huludao City, particularly impacting Jianchang County and Suizhong County, affecting infrastructure, homes, and crops. A press conference held in Huludao City highlighted the devastation caused by the heavy rainfall, with 10 confirmed deaths and 14 individuals still unaccounted for. Additionally, an official lost their life while attempting to rescue others. Search and rescue operations are actively ongoing to locate the missing persons. State media noted that over 50,000 residents were evacuated from Huludao due to the continuous heavy rains.
