The Kano State Fire Service recovered the body of an unidentified man who fell into a well on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in a statement, stating that they received an emergency call from the DPO of Kwalli Police Division on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
The report indicated that a body was found in a well at an unfinished building in Kadama Bakin Titi, Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano.
Upon arrival at the scene around 16:40 hours, the rescue team discovered the decomposing body of a man around 25 years old, unknown to the locals, at the bottom of the well, surrounded by dried blood stains. The swollen state of the body suggested that it had been there for about four days, as per residents.
The Fire Service team successfully retrieved the body and handed it over to ASP Sani Abdulhamid, DCO2 of Kumbotso Police Division.
