Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is simplifying its monetization programs to make it easier for creators to earn money on the platform.
Previously, creators had to navigate through different monetization options such as in-stream ads, Reels ads, and performance bonuses, each with its own set of requirements. The new Facebook Content Monetization program is designed to streamline this process by allowing creators to apply and onboard just once.
Last year, Meta paid out over $2 billion to creators for a variety of content, including Reels, videos, photos, and text posts. However, the company observed that many creators were not maximizing their potential earnings.
