LG poll: Come out and vote, Omehia, Secondus, others urge Rivers residents

In Rivers State, political leaders and elders recently visited the state Governor to express their support and appreciation for his dedication in ensuring a successful Local Government election. They lauded his efforts and reassured him of their continuous support and prayers.

The group, including prominent figures like former governor Sir Celestine Omehia, former deputy governor Tele Ikuru, and others, commended the Governor for his commitment to delivering democratic benefits to the people despite facing obstacles. They emphasized the importance of the upcoming election and urged all residents to participate and exercise their civil rights.

Omehia highlighted the significance of the election as a fundamental right of the people, emphasizing that the Governor, like his counterparts in other states, has the responsibility to conduct the local government election. He urged unity and peace in the state, condemning those who seek to disrupt the election process as enemies of progress.
