A recent development in Bauchi South Senatorial District sees the introduction of a 2.5-kilometer rural road construction project aimed at improving rural access, boosting agricultural marketing, and enhancing the livelihoods of residents. The initiative, amounting to N850 million, is part of the 2024 budget allocations for the area.
The Senator, Shehu Buba, who oversees the project and also chairs the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, made this announcement during a ceremony in Zaranda Village, Toro Local Government Area. The construction is expected to be completed within four weeks to provide sustainable access roads in rural communities, thereby supporting agricultural activities and creating economic opportunities for the rural population.
Senator Buba emphasized that fulfilling this promise is a core aspect of his duties as a senator, reiterating his commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the people of Zaranda during the election period. He assured the constituents of his dedication to carrying out more developmental projects in the district, including upcoming road projects and various community initiatives.
Furthermore, plans for additional projects such as installing hand pumps, solar water pumps, solar lights, school renovations, hospital improvements, and empowerment programs for constituents are in the pipeline. Senator Buba emphasized that these initiatives are not bound by political affiliations but are aimed at benefiting all residents of the Bauchi South Senatorial District.
