Suspected robbers terrorising Nasarawa communities to face trial

The police in Nasarawa State have announced their intention to prosecute three individuals suspected of engaging in armed robbery in the Maraba community and its surroundings. The suspects were apprehended during an attempted robbery at a residential building in the Karu Local Government Area. Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspects, who were found in possession of a locally made rifle, a knife, and criminal charms.

The suspects, identified as Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja, confessed to being part of a gang responsible for various robberies in the area. They will face legal action for their crimes. Additionally, a suspected car thief, Mohammed Abubakar, was arrested while trying to sell a stolen vehicle. Despite other members of the gang escaping, Mohammed Abubakar was apprehended, and the stolen car was recovered.

The Police Public Relations Officer emphasized the need for the rightful owner of the recovered vehicle to claim it at the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership. The Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada, urged the owner to come forward and reclaim their property.
