During a recent meeting in Abuja, the Chairman of the PDP BoT, Adolphus Wabara, highlighted serious concerns about discrepancies in the state congresses. The party has been facing internal conflicts since the 2023 elections. Following a court ruling that removed Iyorchia Ayu, Damagum took over as the acting National Chairman, but stakeholders have criticized him for not implementing necessary reforms.
Wabara emphasized the importance of addressing these issues promptly and urged members to cooperate with reconciliation and disciplinary committees. He stressed the need for all party members to have a fair chance to participate in the democratic process. Wabara also commended the efforts of certain committees and emphasized the importance of unity and adherence to party guidelines.
The acting National Chairman, Damagum, expressed gratitude for the support during challenging times and highlighted the importance of discussing party matters for growth and progress. The focus remains on resolving internal conflicts and upholding the rule of law within the party.
