Ogun warns NURTW against lawlessness

The government of Ogun State recently issued a stern warning to the National Union of Road Transport Workers, cautioning them to maintain peace and order within the union or face restrictions on their activities. The warning came in response to internal conflicts, particularly in Ijebu Ode, raising concerns about public safety. The government emphasized its commitment to upholding peace and stated that any disruption would not be tolerated. The Commissioner for Transportation reminded the union members of their duty to abide by the law and resolve disputes internally. Public transport facilities were highlighted as state assets for public use, with a clear message that any threats to public safety could result in restrictions on union activities in public spaces.
