Ogoni clean-up must be supported to succeed – MOSOP

The Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People stresses the importance of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project for the well-being of Ogoni women, youths, children, and the environment. They urge all Ogoni people to actively participate in the project’s implementation to reap its direct and indirect benefits for the community.

In a statement, the group rejects calls for the removal of the project coordinator and emphasizes the ongoing nature of the HYPREP Project, rallying for support from all members of the Ogoni community for its success.

MOSOP denounces any actions that may hinder the Clean-up program and calls on Ogoni youths to stand firm in supporting the initiative. They commend the Federal Government for its dedication to the clean-up of Ogoniland and urge HYPREP to prioritize the remediation of hydrocarbon-impacted areas and restoration of livelihoods in the region.
