MIWA boss urges patience over delayed insurance benefits

The leader of the Military Widows Association has encouraged members waiting for their late husbands’ insurance benefits to be patient. While some widows have started receiving payments, many are still waiting. At an empowerment event for military widows, she assured them that the military is working to speed up the remaining payments.

She acknowledged the widows’ frustrations and the desire for quick payments due to the challenges they face. The government has been urged to expedite the process to support these women.

The association leader also expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her consistent support towards military widows. She highlighted the various forms of assistance and empowerment programs provided by the First Lady.

Furthermore, she commended the efforts of the wives of service chiefs in supporting widows. The event coordinator stressed the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by fallen soldiers and supporting their families, particularly the widows and children.

The program aimed to honor the sacrifices of fallen heroes and provide support to their families, especially the widows who often become the sole providers for their families. Many of these widows are young and face the challenge of raising children alone after losing their husbands.
