Davido, Burna Boy to feature in NPFL All-Star Game

Two renowned Nigerian music artists, alongside other top stars from the country, are scheduled to appear at the inaugural Nigeria Premier Football League All-Star Game. The event, organized in collaboration with a leading sports marketing company in Nigeria, promises an exciting showcase of football talent from the Northern and Southern regions of the league, infused with entertainment.

During a recent press conference in Abuja, NPFL Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, underscored the importance of the All-Star Game in promoting and raising awareness about the league. He mentioned the success of a previous tournament and the impact it had on showcasing local soccer talent.

The NPL’s partnership with Nilayo Sports Management Ltd., a reputable sports marketing company in Nigeria, aims to bring more visibility and prestige to the league. Plans for the NPFL All-Star Game include selecting top players for two teams representing the Northern and Southern Conferences, creating a highly anticipated match-up.

Elegbeleye reiterated the league’s significance in Nigeria’s football landscape, noting its consistent presence compared to national teams. The upcoming event will not only feature thrilling football action but also live music performances from popular Nigerian artists, enhancing the overall entertainment value and attracting potential sponsors.

A total of 44 players, split evenly between the two conferences, will participate in the All-Star Game, each receiving a substantial appearance fee. Celebrity coaches will also be involved, adding to the excitement of the event and further elevating the league’s status in the country.
