Kano LG election free, fair, says Yusuf

The Governor of Kano State commended the peaceful conduct of the Local Government elections held in all 44 local government areas of the state. He expressed gratitude for the support of other states’ electoral commission chairpersons who monitored the elections. The Governor described the elections, which took place in 484 wards across the 44 local governments, as the most transparent in Kano’s history.

He assured that the elected officials would prioritize the interests of the people and promised good governance under his administration. The Governor praised the chairman and staff of KANSIEC for ensuring the fair and free conduct of the elections in Kano. He emphasized the importance of upholding the people’s right to vote without any interference.

The Governor also called on the judiciary to remain impartial in electoral matters, stating that neutrality is crucial for a healthy democratic process. He highlighted the need for peaceful elections and referenced proactive measures taken to prevent any disturbances during the voting process.

Addressing the opposition, the Governor urged them to accept defeat graciously, pointing out the strong voter support for his party. An official from the Sokoto State Electoral Commission also commended the peaceful nature of the elections.
