In Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, a building collapse occurred early Thursday morning, resulting in the death of 10 individuals and injuring seven others. The incident took place at 2 am in the Jegeda Oluloyo area in Ona Ara Local Government Area. The Oyo State Fire Services Agency confirmed the tragic event and stated that while 10 people were found deceased under the debris, seven individuals were successfully rescued. Rescue operations are still ongoing at the site. The General Manager of the state Fire Services, Yemi Akinyinka, mentioned that they received a distress call at 2 am and upon arrival, discovered the casualties. The team continues to work diligently at the scene.
