New ministers for swearing-in today

Today, seven new ministers will be sworn into the cabinet by the President. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy announced this event. The new ministers include individuals appointed to various portfolios such as Humanitarian Affairs, Labour and Employment, Foreign Affairs, Industry, Trade and Investment, Livestock Development, Housing and Urban Development, and Education.

These nominees were confirmed by the Senate after a recent cabinet reshuffle that saw the reassignment of 10 ministers, the discharge of five, and the nomination of seven new ministers. The Senate’s confirmation of the seven nominees followed a screening process.
