EPL: Ronaldo could return to Man Utd under Amorim, says Sheringham

Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo could potentially make a return to Old Trafford in the future. Sheringham believes that Ronaldo would be welcomed back warmly, especially with Ruben Amorim, a fellow Portuguese, expected to become the manager. Ronaldo’s previous return to United in 2021 did not go as planned, leading to his departure for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League after some controversy. Despite this, Ronaldo has found success in Saudi Arabia and is now the league’s leading scorer.

Sheringham speculates that with Amorim, who played alongside Ronaldo for Portugal, in charge, a return to Manchester United might be more feasible. However, he also acknowledges that at 39, Ronaldo may opt to finish his career elsewhere. Sheringham doubts that Ronaldo would pursue a coaching role at Old Trafford, indicating that Ronaldo himself has expressed a lack of passion for coaching and a preference for focusing on business ventures once his playing career concludes.
