Lobi Stars unveil foreign head coach

Lobi Stars Football Club in Makurdi has introduced Mika Lönnström, a Finnish coach, as their new head coach. The club’s chairman, Philip Nongu, highlighted that Lönnström’s appointment aims to enhance the team’s performance. Nongu expressed confidence in Lönnström’s expertise and dedication to elevate the team’s performance.

The club’s leadership is determined to improve the team’s current standing and competitiveness. Nongu assured everyone that the club’s current position is temporary, and they are optimistic about moving out of the relegation zone soon. The chairman also emphasized the importance of discipline among the players moving forward.

Acknowledging Governor Hyacinth Alia for the opportunity, the chairman thanked him for the chance to serve in this capacity. Additionally, a board member, James Iorpuu, congratulated Lönnström on his new role and pledged full support for his success.
