Ogun gov awards new road project contracts in Ikenne LG

The Governor of Ogun State recently announced the commencement of key road reconstruction projects in various areas of the state, including the Ilara to Ilishan road in Remo North and Awolowo Road in Ikenne Local Government Area. These projects are part of the state’s ongoing infrastructure development initiatives.

During the Afotamodi Day Grand Finale event at AUD Primary School in Isara-Remo, themed “A Legacy of Culture and Tradition,” the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing road infrastructure. He mentioned challenges faced with the Awolowo Road project but assured that a new contractor has been appointed to ensure the timely completion of the road.

Additionally, contracts for Phase 3 of the Sagamu-Iperu-Ode-Saapade Road were awarded to improve connectivity and stimulate economic activities in the region. The reconstruction of the Ilara to Ilishan road, impacted by the airport project, is also underway, with work already in progress.

The governor expressed appreciation to the people of Isara for their support and pledged to continue collaborating with the community for development. He also made a donation of N20 million towards developmental projects in Isara-Remo and promised to partake in next year’s festival celebrations.

The Odemo of Isara-Remo commended the town’s residents for their dedication to the community’s progress and thanked the governor for his efforts towards improving the welfare of the people and the state.
