NAF airstrikes kill terrorists in Kebbi, Zamfara

The Nigerian Air Force recently confirmed the successful elimination of numerous terrorists in operations conducted in Kebbi and Zamfara states. Additionally, strongholds belonging to well-known bandit leaders were destroyed during the missions.

According to a statement by NAF spokesperson Olusola Akinboyewa, the operations targeted the hideout of terrorist leader Ado Aleiro, resulting in the deaths of many of his associates. A surprise aerial assault was carried out on various camps, including the strategic Sangeko location in Zamfara and Ado Aleiro’s fortified enclave in Tsafe Local Government Area near the Kebbi border.

The precision strikes not only destroyed a significant arms depot belonging to Ado Aleiro but also incapacitated a considerable number of his fighters, significantly weakening their operational capabilities. Akinboyewa also mentioned that several kidnapped victims managed to escape from the bandits during the operations.

The successful missions have instilled fear among the bandits and brought hope to residents who have long endured the threat of banditry. These operations showcase the NAF’s growing effectiveness and commitment to restoring peace and security nationwide. Updates on Operation Farautar Mujiya will be shared in the coming days.
