The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has refuted claims of naira abuse against a certain individual, clarifying that a viral video showing currency being sprayed at a wedding did not involve the person accused. The video actually captured an incident at the wedding reception of a different individual, the daughter of a business owner known as Hafsat Gold Nigeria. The EFCC emphasized its commitment to combating currency abuse and stated that it has summoned the groom and others involved in the incident for further investigation. The agency highlighted that it will not hesitate to take action against any offenders, regardless of their status.
