Archbishop named Lux Mundi varsity chancellor, school holds maiden matriculation

The Archbishop of Owerri Province of the Catholic Church was appointed as the first Chancellor of the new Lux Mundi University in Umuahia. The university recently held its inaugural matriculation ceremony and foundation laying ceremony for two significant buildings.

During the event, the founder of Lux Mundi University highlighted the institution’s mission to inspire and educate students. The university aims to be a beacon of hope and a place for transformative education. Emphasizing their commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, they expressed openness to collaborations for knowledge sharing.

Former Imo State governor expressed his aspirations for the university to excel, offering support through scholarships and connections. The governor of Abia State commended the initiative, aligning with his vision to enhance education in the state.

In his acceptance speech, the Archbishop of Owerri Province expressed gratitude for the dedication of the university members and pledged to strive for excellence. Another Archbishop commended the new Chancellor for his leadership qualities and vision.

Various dignitaries, including representatives from educational and religious institutions, were present at the event, showing support for the new Lux Mundi University.
