Inauguration of Stella Obasanjo Hospital by Obaseki disgraceful – Okpebholo

The current Governor of Edo State expressed discontent over the inauguration of the Stella Obasanjo Hospital in Benin by the previous administration, criticizing it as incomplete and lacking essential equipment. During an inspection with the Deputy Governor and the Commissioner for Health, the Governor vowed to rectify the structural issues to ensure the hospital effectively serves the public. He accused the prior administration of hastily inaugurating the project for political gain.

The Governor pledged to address the deficiencies promptly and improve the hospital’s functionality. He emphasized that the previous administration merely painted the building and installed air conditioners to create a false impression of completion. The Governor and his team discovered ongoing construction at the time of the inauguration, deeming it deceitful and unfair to the people of Edo State.

Additionally, the former Governor, who accompanied the Governor on the inspection, highlighted the need for explanations from the contractor regarding the delayed progress of the project. Structural defects were identified, prompting discussions with the contractor to rectify the errors and ensure the hospital meets operational standards.
