The Nigerian Railway Corporation is set to operate a special train service on all its routes nationwide at the end of the year. This initiative aligns with the directive from the Federal Ministry of Transportation. The aim is to provide discounted travel options during the festive season, allowing citizens to travel affordably to see their loved ones. The Ministry of Transportation’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Olujimi Oyetomi, confirmed this plan without disclosing the specific discount percentage.
The NRC’s management emphasized that the special train service is part of the government’s efforts to enhance the end-of-year celebrations.
