Yuletide: Ogun poly rector urges Nigerians to embrace love, harmony

The head of Ogun State Institute of Technology in Igbesa, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, has encouraged Nigerians to spread love and strive for peaceful coexistence to enhance society. Oluseye emphasized the importance of reflecting on the core values of Christmas, which center around love and kindness towards humanity. He urged citizens to embody these virtues to contribute to the nation’s progress.

During the Christmas Carol and Service event themed “Halleluyah, Joy Has Come,” Oluseye highlighted the significance of love, joy, peace, and progress symbolized by Christmas. He stressed the need for continuous display of love, support for humanity, and pursuit of harmonious living beyond the festive season for societal advancement.

Looking ahead to the new year, Oluseye expressed his commitment to fostering growth within the institution and ensuring the well-being of students and staff. The acting Chairman of the Governing Council, Evangelist Kehinde Akinsoji, commended the staff for their dedication to academic excellence and assured support for the polytechnic’s development.

Emphasizing the essence of Christmas, Rev. Michael Oluwarohumbi from the Yewa Diocese urged individuals to reflect on their lives and strive for righteousness and salvation. He called on the nation’s leaders to uphold integrity, combat corruption, and address socio-economic challenges diligently.
