The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps reported the arrest of a 27-year-old automobile technician for allegedly stealing and dismantling a customer’s vehicle with the license plate number Lagos BDG 956-FJ. The suspect had driven the vehicle from Lagos to Idona, Ijebu Imusin, Ogun State, where he had begun taking apart the vehicle to sell its parts before being apprehended. Upon questioning, the suspect claimed that he was trying to sell the vehicle’s parts due to a faulty engine. He admitted to test-driving the vehicle in various locations before being caught dismantling it in Ijebu Imusin. The suspect confessed to the crime and sought forgiveness from the NSCDC officers.
