Yuletide: FRSC seeks Anambra monarch’s collaboration to enhance road safety

The head of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra State, Corps Commander Joyce Alexander, recently visited the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, to express appreciation for his support towards road safety initiatives in the state. The Sector Commander emphasized the FRSC’s commitment to reducing road accidents and promoting safe driving practices during the courtesy call. Collaborating with key stakeholders and raising public awareness were highlighted as crucial strategies for ensuring road safety, especially during festive periods. The monarch welcomed the Sector Commander and pledged continued support for FRSC efforts in Anambra, emphasizing the need for enhanced education targeting drivers and transport owners to enhance road safety. The Igwe assured ongoing collaboration with the FRSC and offered platforms for engagement with traditional leaders to further promote road safety within the community.
