The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps recently apprehended a 34-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Efon Alaaye, Ekiti State. The suspect was captured in Osun State after attempting to flee. It was reported that the minor was attacked while running an errand. The suspect was found in hiding and has been transferred to the local police for further investigation.
In a separate incident, two men were caught stealing an iron door in Ikole Ekiti by Amotekun officers. The suspects confessed to the crime and were handed over to the police for processing. The Amotekun Corps Commander emphasized the importance of community cooperation in combating crime and urged residents to provide information to aid in apprehending criminals.
