In a New Year message, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, emphasized the importance of Nigerians returning to God and serving Him faithfully in the upcoming year. Reflecting on the challenges faced in the past year, including economic hardships and insecurity, Okoh urged for God’s guidance through the trials ahead.
He called on those in government to lead with compassion, transparency, and accountability, expressing optimism for transformation and renewal in the nation in the year ahead.
Okoh conveyed, “Greeting all Nigerians on the dawn of 2025 on behalf of the National Leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Despite the hardships of 2024, such as economic struggles and insecurity, we have witnessed God’s grace upholding us as a nation. His mercy has brought us this far, and we trust in His continued guidance through the challenges that lie ahead.
“Looking forward to 2025, we encourage all Nigerians to reconnect with God and serve Him faithfully. It is by seeking His direction and following His path that we can achieve the peace, unity, and progress we aspire to as a nation.
“We also urge leaders to govern with empathy, openness, and responsibility, making decisions that prioritize the well-being of the people to ensure inclusive progress towards a prosperous nation.
“With God’s grace and our collective dedication to His plan, we anticipate 2025 as a year of positive change and rejuvenation for our beloved country. Let us advance with faith, unity, and hope for a brighter future. May God bless Nigeria and lead us on the path of righteousness in 2025 and beyond.”
