Beginning next week on Monday, some residents of the Federal Capital Territory will face prolonged power outages. The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has announced disruptions in various parts of the capital due to the relocation of key transmission line towers along the Outer Southern Expressway.
The relocation operation, scheduled from January 6 to 31, will impact areas such as Lugbe & environs, Airport Road, Kapwa, NNPC, and many more. The company expressed regrets for any inconveniences caused and thanked customers for their understanding.
This development follows recent maintenance exercises by the Transmission Company of Nigeria at the Gwagwalada 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation, although residents continue to face challenges with power supply in the region.
