The Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Imo State Police Command successfully rescued four kidnapped victims from an armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate. Two suspects were neutralized during the operation, and the victims, including Carolyn Didia, Ego Odu, Apollonia Ezekwe, and Godwin Ezekwe, were freed. The police recovered an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, and a magazine from the criminals. Two of the rescued victims sustained gunshot wounds but are now recovering at Oforola Health Centre. The police are committed to ensuring the safety of residents and are conducting investigations to capture any remaining members of the criminal syndicate. The public is urged to report any suspicious activities to aid in community safety efforts.
