Police arrest vehicle thief, recover stolen car in Kano

The police in Kano State have successfully recovered a grey Rav-4 mini jeep with the registration number YAB 881 JK Abuja. The vehicle was found abandoned and subsequently led to the arrest of a suspect named Bala Sani, a 40-year-old male from Funtua LGA, Katsina State.

The recovery was confirmed by the command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna, who stated that the vehicle was discovered during a patrol along Kwanar Ungogo, Ungogo LGA, Kano State. Bala Sani, the primary suspect, was apprehended in his hometown in Katsina State and confessed to stealing the vehicle from Zaria, Kaduna State with the intention of selling it in Kano.

The recovered vehicle is now in police custody, and the suspect will face charges once the investigation is concluded. The police have urged the rightful owner of the vehicle to come forward with proof of ownership. Furthermore, the Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities to the police for prompt action.
