The Nigeria Football Federation is preparing to introduce Mr Éric Sékou Chelle as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles on Monday at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja at 11 am. Chelle’s appointment was officially confirmed by the NFF Executive Committee following a recommendation from its Technical and Development Committee. NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, has expressed confidence in Chelle’s capabilities and urged Nigerians to support him. The Federation has committed to providing Chelle with the necessary support for his success. Chelle will first lead the Super Eagles B team in the African Nations Championship before focusing on the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The unveiling ceremony will also reveal Chelle’s coaching staff. Chelle brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously guided Mali’s Aiglons to success. Former Super Eagles striker Victor Ikpeba has also shown support for Chelle, encouraging Nigerians to stand behind the new coach as he takes on this important role.
