The Governor of Benue State expressed profound sadness over the loss of 10 lives in a tragic accident in the Okete community, Ohimini Local Government Area of the State.
The incident occurred when a truck collided with a building, resulting in the unfortunate deaths of at least ten individuals.
In a message of condolence delivered through his Chief Press Secretary, the Governor stated, “It is with a heavy heart that I offer my deepest sympathies to the families affected by the tragic accident in Okete community, Ohimini LGA. The loss of ten precious lives in such a devastating manner has cast a shadow of mourning over our state.
During these difficult times, I want to assure you that the government stands in solidarity with the grieving families. We share your pain and hope that you can find solace and resilience in the face of this loss.”
The Governor also pledged that thorough investigations would be carried out by the state government to prevent similar tragic incidents in the future.
He offered prayers for the souls of the departed to rest in peace and for divine comfort and strength to be bestowed upon the mourning families. Additionally, he appealed to friends and community members to provide support to the affected families during this challenging period.
