Israeli Prime Minister made it clear that the ceasefire in Gaza wouldn’t start as scheduled unless Hamas provided a list of hostages to be released. Despite Hamas citing “technical reasons” for the delay, Netanyahu insisted that Israel must receive the list before the ceasefire could begin. He emphasized that the prisoner swap scheduled for Sunday hinged on the list being provided. Netanyahu also asserted Israel’s readiness to resume hostilities if needed, with the support of the United States. The temporary ceasefire, negotiated over months with the help of Qatar, Egypt, and the US, was set to start after challenging talks.
