Assembly urges Abiodun to revive abandoned poly in Ogun community

The legislative body of Ogun State recently passed a resolution urging the state governor to allocate funds for the rehabilitation and opening of the long-abandoned state polytechnic in Ipokia, Yewa South Local Government Area. This initiative aims to complete existing facilities and secure accreditation for the institution’s academic programs. The resolution was passed during a sitting of the lawmakers, following a motion moved by a member representing the area. The lawmakers emphasized the importance of utilizing the infrastructure already in place to kickstart academic activities and called for collaboration with educational bodies and local stakeholders to make the polytechnic a hub for both local and international students.
