The People’s Democratic Party expressed its condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State following the passing of his elder brother, Mr. Sunday Makinde. The party’s National Publicity Secretary described the deceased as a humble, exceptionally brilliant, and highly ingenious professional who dedicated his life to the progress and development of Oyo State and Nigeria. The party acknowledged Sunday Makinde’s courage, vision, and support to his brother in serving the people. The PDP extended its prayers to Governor Makinde, Sunday Makinde’s widow, and the entire Makinde family, as well as standing in solidarity with the government and people of Oyo State during this period of mourning. The party prayed for the peaceful rest of Sunday Makinde’s soul and for strength for the family to bear the loss. The deceased passed away at the age of 65, as confirmed by the state government’s statement in Ibadan.
