Kwara to arraign 164 monthly sanitation violators

During the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Ilorin, Kwara State, 164 individuals were caught violating the rules. One person faced arrest for allegedly assaulting sanitation officials and was handed over to the police. The state’s Commissioner for Environment, Nafisat Buge, oversaw the operation and stated that the offenders would be prosecuted in accordance with the state’s sanitation regulations. The ministry’s press secretary, Shakirat Muritala, confirmed the apprehension of the violators and the incident of assault. The commissioner praised the residents of Ilorin for their cooperation with the sanitation efforts, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean environment to prevent diseases. Buge warned residents to respect the environmental laws of the state or face legal consequences.
