Energy experts from around the world will gather for the sixth West Africa LPG Expo 2025, a significant event promoting West Africa’s shift towards clean energy by exploring the advantages of compressed natural gas.
Taking place on March 3–4, 2025, in Lagos, the West Africa LPG Expo 2025 will focus on discussions regarding liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas as effective energy solutions.
The Director of the LPG Expo, Jeffery Leung, expressed the event’s objective to encourage innovation, cooperation, and sustainability within the energy industry.
Highlighting Nigeria’s Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, Leung emphasized the economic, environmental, and energy independence benefits associated with the adoption of CNG.
This year’s event will also include the 2nd CNG Africa Nigeria 2025, underscoring Nigeria’s efforts to integrate CNG into its energy sector.
Neighboring countries like Ghana, Senegal, and Ivory Coast are also making strides in utilizing LPG to achieve clean cooking goals for Africa by 2030 and reducing dependence on biomass.
The expo aims to facilitate regional collaboration through informative conference sessions and networking opportunities for industry stakeholders.
Anticipated to be the largest edition yet, the event will feature over 100 exhibitors and 50 expert speakers, including government officials, investors, consultants, and key players in the LPG sector.
Supported by various industry associations, the West Africa LPG Expo 2025 serves as a premier platform for advocating LPG and CNG adoption in the region.
Nigeria, as Africa’s second-largest LPG producer, is leading the way in integrating LPG into its energy landscape, aligning with the Nigerian Energy Transition Plan’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
