A’Ibom gov submits 27 commissioner, SA nominees to assembly

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has presented a roster of 27 individuals to the State House of Assembly for consideration as Commissioners and Special Advisers. The list includes a mix of returning commissioners and new nominees. The returning commissioners consist of individuals who previously served under the former Governor, with one being newly appointed by Governor Eno. Among the returning commissioners are names like Prof. Eno Ibanga, Ini Ememobong, Emem Bob, Offiong Offor, Frank Archibong, Linus Nkan, Capt. Iniobong Ekong (retd.), Uko Essien Udom, SAN, and Gen. Koko Essien (retd.). The new nominees include Paul Bassey, Hon. Ikoidem Ekong, Anthony Luke, Hon. Iniobong Robson, Dr. Henry Archibong, Hon. Nsikak Ekong, Dr. Emmanuel John Ekem, Mrs. Inibehe Silas Etukudo, and Prof. Ubong Essien, among others. In a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House, Hon. Udeme Otong, the governor has requested legislative approval for these appointments in accordance with Section 192(2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
