The All Progressives Congress has officially engaged Tunmef Global Limited, a private company, to conduct a nationwide digital membership registration in preparation for the upcoming general elections in 2027. The agreement signing took place at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, with key figures such as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and governors from Imo, Cross Rivers, and Kogi States in attendance, alongside the National Chairman of the APC and other party officials.
Emphasizing the importance of embracing technological advancements, Governor Uzodimma highlighted the party’s commitment to utilizing digital tools to streamline internal processes and maintain its prominent position in Nigerian politics. He stressed the significance of having an accurate and transparent membership register to ensure credibility and integrity in the party’s operations.
Governor Ganduje also expressed gratitude to party leaders, including Bola Tinubu, for supporting the digital registration initiative. He underscored the historical significance of transitioning from analog to digital methods within the party and highlighted the importance of having precise data to support the party’s activities and decision-making processes.
Furthermore, the APC National Legal Adviser outlined the project’s details, explaining how the e-registration process would connect members’ registration numbers with their National Identity Numbers to facilitate easy access to comprehensive member information from any location. The initiative was praised for its potential to enhance data accuracy and efficiency within the party.
