NIS to deport 25 illegal migrant workers arrested in Ogun farm

The Nigeria Immigration Service in Ogun State has detained 25 undocumented immigrants who were working as farm laborers in Odogbolu Local Government Area. The arrest followed actionable intelligence leading officers to their hideout. These individuals, all male Beninese nationals, were found working without the necessary permits. Ogun State Comptroller of the NIS, A.M. Akadri, disclosed that investigations revealed the immigrants had entered Nigeria through unauthorized channels. None of them could provide valid residence cards or travel documents during questioning. Consequently, the Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nanna Nandap, has ordered their immediate repatriation, underscoring the agency’s dedication to upholding immigration regulations and protecting national security.
