Man arrested for stabbing brother to death in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended Christian Ndubuisi following an incident where he fatally stabbed his elder brother during a dispute. The state Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, characterized the event as tragic and emphasized the importance of peaceful conflict resolution in communities.

According to police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Ndubuisi was arrested by operatives from the 3-3 Divisional Headquarters based on a report received about the incident. The statement revealed that the suspect allegedly used a broken bottle to stab his brother during the altercation, resulting in the victim’s death upon arrival at the hospital.

CP Orutugu extended condolences and stressed the necessity of effective conflict resolution and anger management to prevent such violent outcomes. The case is set to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for further investigation to ensure justice is served.
