In Ajaji Layout area of Asaba, Delta State, a woman known for breaking into shops was recently captured by a local vigilante group. The suspect, identified as Ifeoma Abisi, was caught in the early hours of a Wednesday. The Vigilante Chairman, Francis Okolo, shared this information in a statement. Abisi admitted to the crime, explaining that she was promised money by a young man to stay until daybreak, but was later abandoned. She resorted to breaking into a shop through the ceiling to find food for her children. Caught while trying to sell the stolen items, she confessed to having done this three times. The vigilante group was instructed to be vigilant and thorough in their efforts to catch criminals. Items recovered from the suspect included a standing fan, a cooking gas cylinder, and a studio light. The suspect was handed over to a DSS officer for further investigation and subsequent transfer to the police.
