The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, expressed determination to eradicate bandits causing havoc in Katsina State and other parts of the country during his recent visit to the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army at Natsinta Barracks, Katsina. He emphasized the need to assess the Brigade’s operational efficiency, address challenges hindering the fight against banditry, and boost efforts to completely eliminate the bandits for lasting peace in the region. The Army Chief commended the Brigade for its performance but urged them to intensify their actions to achieve the goal of restoring peace. He highlighted the importance of eliminating criminals to ensure a secure environment for Nigerians to thrive without fear. Brigadier General Babatunde Omopariola welcomed the Army Chief at Natsinta Barracks during his visit.
