Release LG allocations to reinstated chairmen, APC chieftain urges FG

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State is advocating for the prompt release of monthly allocations to the recently reinstated APC-elected local government chairmen. In a statement to the press in Osogbo, the state capital, the APC chieftain emphasized the importance of disbursing funds to the reinstated chairmen following a court ruling in their favor.

The APC leader expressed concerns about the delay in releasing funds, highlighting that the reinstated chairmen have been unable to carry out their duties since their dismissal in 2022. With their recent reinstatement, he urged the Federal Government to provide the necessary financial support for them to resume their responsibilities.

Additionally, the chieftain praised the professionalism of the Inspector-General of Police in addressing security issues in the state. He commended the efforts of the police in maintaining peace and security, acknowledging their role in creating a conducive environment for governance.

Despite reported intimidation by opposition parties, the reinstated council chairmen were encouraged to return to work, with assurances of adequate security measures in place. The APC leader emphasized the importance of their return to office in delivering essential services and promoting grassroots development.
