In Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State, suspected Boko Haram insurgents have launched an attack on Kaleri community. During the assault, two residents were abducted, and homes were ransacked. Eyewitnesses reported that the militants descended on the village in large numbers, causing panic among the residents who fled for safety. The Borno State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Daso, verified the incident, labeling it as an abduction case. The attackers, armed with sophisticated weapons, looted food supplies from various households before fleeing the scene. Security forces later secured the area and made some arrests, although it is uncertain if the detainees are connected to the attack. The identities of the kidnapped individuals have not been disclosed at this time.
