Recently, supporters of a former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly gathered at the assembly complex to show their support.
In various images and videos shared on social media, the supporters could be seen holding placards and chanting in solidarity at the entrance of the assembly building.
According to reports, the former speaker had visited the assembly complex with a group of security personnel and accessed the Speaker’s Office around noon on Thursday.
This visit occurred after the security aides of the current Speaker were reportedly withdrawn.
The Chief Press Secretary to the current Speaker confirmed the incident, alleging that the former speaker and his team forcefully entered the office.
