Poise, British Council boost business communication

A leading Personality and Image Consulting organization in Nigeria, Poise Nigeria, has introduced the APTIS Assessment System in collaboration with the British Council. This new tool aims to improve business communication and English language proficiency in the workplace.

The APTIS system, developed by the British Council, assesses an individual’s English skills at all levels, providing organizations with a comprehensive understanding of their workforce’s communication abilities.

During the launch event, the Founder and Executive Vice Chairperson of Poise Nigeria, Mavi Isibor, emphasized the significance of effective communication in the business environment. Isibor highlighted the negative impacts of poor communication, referencing statistics from the Harvard Business Review indicating substantial financial losses due to miscommunication in large companies.

Isibor described the APTIS system as more than just an assessment tool, stating that it paves the way for enhanced communication excellence in the workplace. She expressed enthusiasm about the potential of APTIS to drive transformation by evaluating English language skills, facilitating improvement, progress tracking, and creating new opportunities for employees.

The partnership with the British Council aligns with the goal of promoting communication excellence and cultural exchange in the business realm, as mentioned by Isibor.

The Director of Examinations in Nigeria for the British Council, Deep Adhikari, endorsed APTIS as a valuable resource for businesses, emphasizing its potential to enhance livelihoods.

In closing, the Managing Director of Poise Nigeria, Temitope Oluwaseyi, urged Nigerian corporate organizations to incorporate APTIS into their employee training and development initiatives, stressing the importance of equipping employees with essential communication skills to compete effectively in the global market.
