The EFCC’s Kaduna Zonal Directorate captured 11 suspected internet fraudsters in Chanchangi Local Government Area of Niger State. According to a statement released by the agency, titled “EFCC Arrests 11 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Niger,” the operation led to the recovery of two vehicles and 13 mobile phones of different brands.
The arrests took place at White Hotel on Thursday, February 27, 2025, based on credible intelligence linking the suspects to online fraudulent activities. The EFCC assured that the arrests were conducted professionally without any misconduct.
Upon the completion of investigations, the suspects will face charges in court as stated in the agency’s release.
This crackdown occurred shortly after the EFCC apprehended 59 suspects on Abacha Road, Mararaba, an important route between Nasarawa State and Abuja. During that operation, 73 mobile phones were seized.
